This feature insures that items on a page line up correctly. To activate this feature, choose SNAP TO GRID under the Edit menu. When active, a check mark will be beside the command in the menu. To deactivate it, choose it again.
SNAP TO GRID places an invisible sixteen by sixteen pixel grid across the page. When you drag an item and release it, its top left corner will “snap” to this invisible grid.
